I LOVE having bright hair. Going pink increased my confidence levels and helped me further develop my personal style (I'm still working on it of course!) These days going to the hairdresser is such a treat, a relaxing time to hang out with likeminded ladies and get my look under control. As much as I love my bright hair it's not for the time poor, so I asked my hair stylist, Alice, to give us a 'how to' guide for when you're thinking of going bright.
Do any of these sound like you?
1. Shading your brows too dark
Big brows are 'in' right now but be careful not to go over the top! Use an eyebrow pencil or gel that is two shades lighter than your natural eyebrow colour to accentuate your brows. Making your eyebrows too dark or too dense can make you look grumpy instead of gorgeous!
If like me, you are not a makeup artist and only have a few minutes to get ready in the morning - this video is for you! I often get ready with a baby attached to my leg so my entire makeup routine takes less than 3 minutes! I would love to hear which wonder products help you save time in the mornings!
I am really not a fan of the eyebrow pencil. Unless you are a makeup artist it is very hard to use it subtlely and you end up with dense caterpillars on your face where your eyebrows should be. Instead I use a $15 product that gives my eyebrows shape and definition - without the risk of impersonating Bert from Sesame Street.
Quick video review for Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - and the tips for Mascara application you NEED to know! You can buy this mascara from any department store/supermarket for around $20.
I have really fine hair so I absolutely have to use hair product to keep it looking bouncy and give it some volume. I have tried and discarded dozens of hair products, and from years of trial and error, these are my current favourites.
I love a red lip but hate all the faffing about with lipliner lipstick and gloss, this video shows you a much quicker solution using Maybelline Color Drama.
Garnier BB Cream Review - let me know which BB cream you use, I just might try it!
Use dry shampoo before you go to bed at night for fresh easy to style hair the next morning. And use ALOT of it! I do this all the time with my very fine hair...
