The last stop on my journey being styled by the lovely Ella (16) and Olivia (18) was Farmers. I am a bit of a fan of the Urban Precinct label (sizes 8-18) stocked by Farmers and pretty much all of it was on sale. You can get some great Inbetweenie and Plus Size fashion from Farmers these days, they are doing well at filtering out the dowdiness ;)
Since there are so many 70's inspired clothes in store at the moment, trying on a suede look skirt was a must, but as you can see this one didn't much like my tummy - next! Everywhere we went Ella picked up a white lace top for me to try- Farmers was no exception! This crop top looked cute but wasn't very comfortable, the fabric had no elastane content so it was very stiff. Those high waisted pants though! I love them and I see on the website that they are now down to $19! There are only small sizes online though (8 and 10) so I suggest you head in to one of the bigger stores and scope out their sale section if you like them (I'll see you there!)
I just love the checked shirt dress the girls picked, in fact I bought it - on sale for $28! I can't wait to pair it with a beautiful coat and knee high boots in winter. The fur vest was too much fun not to try, but I have to be honest, I felt a bit like a yetti. It was just a bit bulky for me. But it sure looked adorable on Ella! It was so much fun being styled by the girls, I worried I might feel a but old and dowdy, but actually trying new things made me feel glamorous and fun.
I challenge you all to break out of your comfort zone once in awhile an let someone else choose an outfit for you! Seeing yourself through the eyes of someone who thinks you're fab and doesn't take into account your body hangups is so freeing - something to think about ;)
Until next time, Be you - wear the jewels!
